Astana. October 20. Kazakhstan Today - Mittal Steel Temirtau metallurgists accepted the offer of the company to increase salary step-by-step, but reserve the right to themselves to request raise in wages again, Trade Union Chairman Vladimir Dubin informed the agency.

Metallurgists accepted the decision by majority votes on the eve of the trade union conference of labor collectives. There were 406 delegates, 256 from whom voted pro, 120 - contra and 30 - refrained.

As it was informed earlier, on September 30 metallurgists of Mittal Steel Temirtau went on the strike with the requirement to increase their wages by 40 %. The Company promised the workers a stage-by-stage raise in salary: since October 1, 2006 - by 20 %, and since February 1 of 2007 - by 10 %.
